The Indian Larry Block Party: Brooklyn’s Most Badass Bash on Two Wheels

If you’ve ever wondered what it would look like if a rock concert, an art show, a family reunion, and a biker gang all collided in the middle of an industrial corner of Brooklyn—well, that’s the Indian Larry Block Party. Every September, the streets around Indian Larry Motorcycles transform into a chrome-clad carnival of rebellion, creativity, and a whole lot of horsepower. This party was in 2013, eleven parties ago. I’m looking forward to attending this years party!

This isn’t your average street fair with funnel cakes and a sad bounce house. No, the Indian Larry Block Party is for the tattooed, the tinkering, and the torque-obsessed. It’s where custom choppers gleam like metal sculptures under the sun, engines roar louder than the subway, and every single person—bearded or not—feels like part of a family forged in gas fumes and garage dreams.

What started as a tribute to the legendary Indian Larry—the late, great motorcycle builder, artist, and all-around New York icon—has evolved into an annual pilgrimage for riders and rebels from all over the country. His spirit still haunts the event (in the best way): equal parts outlaw energy, artistic vision, and heartfelt community.

Expect stunt competitions, tattoo showing, live music that rattles your fillings, and vendors selling everything from vintage bike parts to leather jackets that smell like the open road. And the bikes—oh, the bikes. It’s like every build is its own poem, welded with attitude and love. No cookie-cutter cruisers here; just raw, rolling works of art.

But maybe the best part? It’s a come-as-you-are celebration. Whether you ride a Harley, a Vespa, or the L train, you’re welcome. Families, punks, gearheads, artists, weirdos—it’s the most inclusive outlaw party you’ll ever find.

So if you ever find yourself in Brooklyn in late summer, follow the scent of gasoline, the sound of a V-twin growl, and the unmistakable pulse of people who still believe in building something real—with their hands, their hearts, and maybe a bit of grease in their hair. The Indian Larry Block Party isn’t just an event. It’s a movement on wheels.

Thanks for stopping by as always, see you tomorrow with another gallery of pics.
