A little bit off the Biker path, but an event full of Bikers, in Medieval clothing…
The Ohio Renaissance Festival has been transporting visitors back to the days of knights, queens, pirates, and wandering rogues since it first opened in 1990. What began as a relatively small festival in a field in Warren County has grown over more than three decades into an elaborate recreated 16th-century English village, filled with costumed characters, artisans, live entertainment, swordplay, full-armored jousting, food, music, and plenty of characters who look like they just stepped off a pirate ship.
This year, as with every year, House of Choppers Nation photographer Chopper Dave traded motorcycles and chrome for corsets, cutlasses, and cannon fire, making his way through the festival with cameras in hand to catch the action. From the incredible costumes and colorful characters to the pirates, performers, and general madness wandering the village streets, Dave captured a side of Ohio where history and fantasy collide, and judging by the photos, there was no shortage of great subjects willing to step in front of his lens. Nice shooting, Chopper Dave!
