Transforming a Redneck Engineering Frame into the Scorpion King

Post & Pics by Jack McIntyre

Once upon a time, we (Johnny Mac & myself), jumped in the pickup truck and cruised from Philadelphia down to Liberty, South Carolina to pick up a Redneck Engineering frame from the man himself, Vince Doll. It was a long 13+ hour ride, but it was really great to see in person what was the Redneck shop, a HUGE facility with frames, motors, and parts in racks going 50 plus feet in the air. The facility was due to soon close when we were there, but we were able to get a glimpse of what it looked like during the chopper hay day. This post is a look at what Johnny Mac’s Chopper House did with the frame, making it into a roller, then the final result, which was to be the Scorpion King. Enjoy the pics.
