BIKES FROM THE LONG BEACH IMS SHOW 2012

Some 14 years ago I was on tour as a photographer the the IMS (International Motorcycle Show), J&P Cycles Ultimate Builders Bike Show. They would set up a booth for me to shoot the show bikes, sometimes we had concrete floors, sometimes carpet. It depended on the venue, it was all we had to work with but never the less, it was a special time of my shooting career. Each week, we bounced all over the country with this HUGE show of shows. To me, it was perfect. I was with Bob Kay & Jeff Najar (Bikerpros Media), and I couldn’t have been with two getter guys.

For this post, I wanted to show you all the bikes from the 2012 Long Beach, CA show. Every show had great bikes, so I’ll add future posts from other shows, and with this one, you’ll see Mr. Keith Ball in a few pics (Owner of Easyriders Magazine & Bikernet.com). If you have never met him, you need to. He’s a classic & a great dude.

The shows were a great place to do promo shots with the attending models and use of products as you’ll see below with the blank white cards. The IMS show atmosphere was something special, when those doors opened, it was show time & the energy just filled the room.
